Project Overview Oakdale at Mordecai Public Relations

With massive development underway in downtown Raleigh, Community Properties, a real estate development company with a legacy of excellence, acquired a piece of prime real estate in the North Person Street district. Our partner, Fonville Morissey Barefoot New Homes Sales and Marketing was working with Robuck Homes to plan an infill community of luxury homes. Our team provided public relations services to support the project with strategic content and lifestyle photography.

Situation

Changes to the downtown landscape often come with excitement and trepidation. The Oakdale at Mordecai team turned to us for strategic messaging around the infill project of 70 post-World War II homes that needed massive repairs. The land acquisition piqued the interest of community groups, local neighbors, and media.

Target

Multiple audiences held a stake in this high-profile real estate project. Ultimately, our goal was to shape discussions through honest, carefully crafted messages while generating additional earned coverage in local media outlets. After all, potential homebuyers would likely read about the project and should be excited for the new homes. With so many interested audiences, it was crucial to develop messaging that clearly stated the reasons this was positive for the area.

Results

Our strategic counsel produced press releases and media coverage, community meeting messaging, and photography that supported the lifestyle of the community. Neighbors with well-established community organizations looked to the developer and builder to assure them that the homes would fit with the local aesthetics. The community has been a huge success winning Best Community Of The Year Award for marketing, which included our photography.
